On October 4, 2024, IEK Infra Engineering Korea and Ecotoll Road and Development Corp. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the Canlubang Expressway Bridge project, a critical component of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) infrastructure development. This partnership aims to enhance the expressway’s bridges, which are vital links between Metro Manila and the rapidly growing provinces of South Luzon.
Canlubang Expressway Bridge Project Overview
The Canlubang Expressway Bridge is part of a broader rehabilitation and expansion project of SLEX, which includes the upgrading of seven bridges and the construction of a major viaduct, the San Juan Bridge. The project is designed to support the increasing volume of vehicles and population growth in South Luzon, a key region that connects Metro Manila to important economic hubs like Batangas, home to a new international container port.
