MOU Signing between IEK Infra Engineering Korea and Aerorail integrated transport & services, Inc.

On October 5, 2024, IEK Infra Engineering Korea and Aerorail Integrated Transport & Services, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the MRT-11 Project, a major infrastructure initiative designed to enhance public transportation between Quezon City and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Overview of the MRT-11 Project

The Metro Rail Transit Line 11 (MRT-11) is an ambitious rail project proposed by Aerorail Integrated Transport & Services, Inc. to the Department of Transportation (DOTr). The project involves constructing an 18-kilometer elevated railway that will run from Balintawak, Quezon City, to Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. This new line aims to serve commuters traveling north of Metro Manila, improving connectivity for key areas such as Quirino Highway, Novaliches, and Zabarte Road.

• IEK Infra Engineering Korea will bring its expertise in infrastructure services and project financing to support the development and construction of the MRT-11. Their role will involve working closely with Korean contractors and suppliers to provide technical and engineering services.
